How to create a perfect email server |
1. First of all, SMTP/POP3/IMAP4 are indispensable. The ports 25(SMTP/TLS), 587(SMTP2/TLS), 110(POP3), 995(POP3 SSL), 143(IMAP4), 993(IMAP4 SSL) are opened.
2. MX settings are correct. (Reference https://www.raidenmaild.com/en/kb/how-to-setup-mailserver.html )
3. SPF, DKIM, DMARC records are complete.
4. It is of utmost importance to keep your external IP clean and avoid being blacklisted. (Reference http://www.anti-abuse.org/multi-rbl-check/)
5. Use legitimate certificates for SSL/TLS services, free or paid certificates are fine. (Reference https://www.raidenmaild.com/en/kb/how-to-import-certificate.html)
6. Avoid using simple passwords as user passwords.
7. When users use the server, they should try to connect using TLS/SSL services.
8. If you have EDM needs, please make full use of Bulk Email Master. The program specifically controls the density of mailings, which can reduce the risk of being blacklisted. Of course, the premise is that the recipient will not report your EDM.
9. If possible, limit the number of outbound mails you send each day when creating your account to reduce the impact of open relay issue.
If all the above conditions are met, you can set up your account using your mobile phone or email client application by following the steps without any accidents. There is no need to make additional manual adjustments. I hope everyone will try their best to move towards this goal.
